How to Improve Employee Engagement

how to improve employee engagementAre you trying to find out how to Improve Employee Engagement?

Are you looking for a way to reward your staff for their hard work and dedication but can’t afford to increase salaries, give bonuses or share options?

Are you worried your staff will leave for greener pastures where they will have more opportunities and better conditions?

Want to encourage a flagging team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty time and again but is now showing signs of fatigue, overwhelm and exhaustion?  Are you short of ideas how to improve employee engagement?

Throwing money at the problem doesn’t work for a number of reasons (budget limitations, lack of funds, inability to make increases across the board) or the fact that people will do more for your company because they want to than because you’ve paid them to (check out behavioural economics => Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariele)

What can you do to improve Employee Engagement instead?

How about giving your team something tangible, something they can experience, something that will rebuild their health, energy and resilience? Something that will get them back on board with the company vision and  mission…

What is that something? I’m talking about Onsite Massage

A highly effective acupressure massage performed fully clothed in a specially designed massage chair by a highly trained massage specialist!

On Site massage can be delivered to your staff onsite in a meeting room in your office, with a range of lengths from 15 to 20 or 30 minutes

So what is the cost of Onsite Chair Massage?

When compared with a pay-rise or a bonus it’s surprisingly little!

For example, a company of 80 employees each receiving a £1000 bonus or payrises per annum will set you back £80,000!

Ok, what about just the top 10% of performers? How to make the distinction when everyone is working so hard? And what about the other 90% of the team who have now been over looked? Not good for Morale!

Ok, 20% of staff, that’s still a cool £16k to shell out and leaves 64 staff without…

But what about giving each member of your team a 20 minute massage per month?

At £50 per hour of massage, giving 80 people a 20 minute massage would be £1333.33 (or £16k per year!) for 26 hours and 40 minutes of massage per month, so your entire staff team can have a massage every month, 12 times per year, for what it would cost to give only 20% of your staff a pay rise!

Ok, so even going on £8000 per year budget…

We’re looking at £667 per month

Which gives 13 hours and 20 minutes of massage per month, or 40 twenty minute massages, so half of your staff can have a massage every month, 12 times per year, or all of your staff can have a massage 6 times per year… for what it would cost to give only 10% of your staff a pay rise!

This is madness!

Has this given you an idea how to improve employee engagement?
